Number needed to treat (NNT) – Negli studi sperimentali indica il numero di pazienti da sottoporre al trattamento per ottenere un esito favorevole rispetto al gruppo di controllo. Viene calcolato come 1/riduzione del rischio assoluto E’ calcolabile in ogni sperimentazione clinica i cui esiti siano espressi da risultati binari. (guarigione/malattia, sopravvivenza/morte, ecc.). –
