Interventi dimostratesi di qualche utilità
Interventi per persone che assumono tabacco non fumandolo.
Una revisione (Ebbert 2007, 20 RCT inclusi) dimostra che gli interventi comportamentali risultano efficaci, 7 studi, 5479 partecipanti, RR 1.76 (IC95% da 1.49 a 2.08), l’associazione di esami della mucosa orale e di feedback telefonici migliora l’efficacia di questi interventi, 5 studi, 2455 partecipanti RR 1.92 (IC95% da 1.92 a 3.23). Nessuna evidenza di efficacia per le terapie farmacologiche rispetto all’astinenza a lungo termine.

Interventi per la cessazione di fumo di narghilé (Maziak 2007, nessuno studio incluso).
