PRISMA – Preferred Reporting System for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis

Checklist composta da 27 elementi e un diagramma di flusso sviluppata per aumentare la trasparenza e il reporting di meta-analisi e revisioni sistematiche. Rappresenta un‘estensione e un aggiornamento del QUOROM (Review Improving the quality of reports of meta-analyses. Moher et al. Lancet 1999) pubblicato nel 2009 come strumento di riferimento per gli autori di meta-analisi di studi randomizzati controllati.

Nel caso di revisioni che rispondono a quesiti di eziologia, prognosi o di accuratezza diagnostica, il PRISMA dovrebbe essere modificato, includendo elementi aggiuntivi.
