Disease staging

Sistema di classificazione che descrive la gravità clinica dei pazienti ricoverati allo scopo di identificare gruppi di pazienti omogenei per gravità clinica, che presentino quindi prognosi o bisogni di assistenza simili e di conseguenza profili di cura analoghi e risultati di trattamento sovrapponibili. Il Disease Staging utilizza 596 categorie diagnostiche relative a 23 sistemi o apparati, all’interno delle quali è possibile compiere il processo di stadiazione per gravità, che comporta l’attribuzione a diversi stadi di gravità, da 0 a 5. –
