L’International Journal of Epidemiology è una rivista di epidemiologia e sanità pubblica. Rivista ufficiale dell’International Epidemiological Association è anche un membro del Committee on Publication Ethics.

Tra le sezioni pubblicate ciclicamente segnaliamo: Reprints and Reflections (contributi storici dell’epidemiologia, con particolare riguardo a materiale pubblicato, originariamente, non in inglese); Photoassay (un breve testo introduttivo cui segue un reportage fotografico su una determinata situazione socio-sanitaria del presente o del passato); Point/Counterpoint (articoli su commissione che affrontano argomenti controversi da diversi punti di vista).

Tra gli argomenti tratatti: epigenetica, obesità, malattie cardiovascolari, fattori di richio per le malattie non trasmissibili, disuguaglianze sociali, questioni metodologiche.
